Here's looking at you nan!

Happy Birthday! We wish we were this close to you...

'I love you nan as much as I love anything'

A gorgeous Lo quote. I second that. We love you nan!

Hello Gorgeous

Taillight

Last Day at Little Wonders

For over two and a half years Little Wonders was Lo's home from home. Despite the excitement of the summer holidays and starting at Pacific Primary in the autumn, we're definitely going to miss it and the friends we all made there.

You can always count on the British to lower the tone

My guess is this Anglo-themed pub doesn't keep this policy strictly enforced...

By the power of greyskull!

Those not familiar with the genius of the early 80's Mattel franchise genre may not pick up this reference...

A slice of Americana...

It's not a proper Independence Day Celebration unless you have a slew of early 90's Corvettes, an old Huey Helicopter, and some WW2-era jeeps...!

An afternoon at the beach in Santa Barbara

We spent a slow day winding our way back up the 101 from Long Beach, and a lazy breezy afternoon at one of Santa Barbara's gorgeous beaches.

Contemplating his sandcastle

and looking very serious...

Video Tuesdays

So I've let the videos slide a little on the blog but I'm going to resolve every Tuesday to have a new one posted. I'm months behind but here's a good one I dug up from Mela and Nic's time over here earlier this year. Lo, Nic, and i connected on two rubber rings, flying down a steep, snowy hill :)

A trip back down memory lane...

For the 4th of July weekend, we headed last-minute down to Long Beach where we lived for the first year of our marriage on Ocean & Linden in the Cooper Arms building, 5th floor window on the right in the top picture. We had a great view of the harbour then, and it was weird being back in a place together we hadn't been in probably over 7 years. It was fun though, and we enjoyed sharing some of the old haunts with the Lo.

There's been one important change since we were last here...

It's a Pirates life for me!

While having lunch in Long Beach, Logan was spotted by a local pirate and drafted into his crew aboard his ship in exchange for a few gold doubloons. Logan was even given a 'P' for pirate tattoo to mark him out as a new crew member!

Born on the Fourth of July...

Well not exactly, but he also doesn't seem to be struggling with the duality of his competing nationalities as much as he should on this Independence Day!

Granny's three Grandkids together

Or not as it turned out to try to photograph... It felt a lot like herding cats, or bottling lightning, or whatever similar simile you care to apply. Bottom line, this threesome were not singing off the same hymnsheet...!

Whoopee cushion = Endless fun...

... a definite hit with Liam and Logan :)

Loves Granny... :)

Playing in the Park

Lo, Liam, Colin, and Granny, having lots of fun!
