Micker and Tanya are here!

Sadly, Micker and Tanya went back to Denmark yesterday. But, we have already started planning the next trip! :)

The Dipsea Race Course

It begins in downtown Mill Valley with a sprint down Throckmorton to the Old Mill Park, then up three flights of stairs as tall as a fifty-story building, and up some more through an old horse ranch to Windy Gap. Then it plunges down into Muir Woods across Redwood Creek and begins a tough grind up through the trees over trails named "Dynamite" and "Cardiac." At the top of Cardiac, the course levels out before it plunges down through the "Swoop", over the rocks and roots of "Steep Ravine" and the discouragingly steep climb up "Insult Hill." Finally, as the course follows the relatively gentle slope of The Moors toward the ocean, Stinson Beach is in sight a mile ahead. This is where experienced racers resort to secret short cuts and where others racers will sprint the last quarter mile in an effort to move up a couple of places in the final results.

I can't move my legs anymore, but it was cool :)

Meet Bird

Logan and Mom went to the zoo today, and the SF shelter was there. So, we brought home 'Bird'. His Mom died, and he was sent to the shelter. He is 6. And Logan named him Bird.

Crowd pleaser

Logan is such a mix of his Mom and Dada. He wants to be on the stage, like Mom. But, once the applause starts and he realizes he has a crowd, he is off with a sweet little smile, like Dada. My favorite part are the little shoulders shrugs at the end. Sweet heart.

Mom and Logan's conversation on the way home tonight....
Logan- " If I eat all of my dinner I will get big and be a grown up".
Mom,-"Thats true, and then you can eat gum"
Logan -" And drink wine and beer"
Mom-"Yes, that too"
Logan- "And I can reach things and decide my own bed time"
Mom- "And you can have your own baby if you want"
Logan-" Ok, when I grow up, lets go buy a baby at the store for me"
Mom- Ok, and do you want to get married when you are a grown up?""
Logan- Yes, I am a boy, so I will ask a girl to dance and then we will get married"
Mom- speechless :)

Micker and Tanya are here!

We have been talking about it forever, but they are finally here! We had a really wonderful time with them. They went on a road trip down the coast to LA and then off to Vegas, and then back to us. Logan is now very interested in Denmark. I told him that he has been there, and that almost all of his clothes are from there :) Thanks to Grandma!

We had brunch in a wonderful cafe and then went down by the water to soak up the sun! Then back to the city for a night trip to Alcatraz!
